Entrepreneurs and Intrapreneurs are considered an important factor that supports innovativeness and risk-taking in construction. Project Managers and Supervisors' specific characteristics are the most impactful factors of innovativeness in construction. The support of upper management is also considered an enabling factor of innovation in construction risks to play an important role in risk-based decision making.

I came up with a disruptive idea that was more than just your average idea it was a solution for multiple situations across construction. I explored the idea with small group trials that have been proven successful over a 6-month time span from implementation to testing, including 3 active months of testing. With positive results from ideal participants, the people involved in the process and not just the data. Resulting in true ease of use platform for all.

Construction management leaders stand on the dawn of a new era in the industry. Business models like those employed at Google and other technology companies are public knowledge but have yet to be adapted into the construction industry. Intrapreneurship offers a way to adopt the innovative, give-it-a-try attitude that encourages creativity and creates billion-dollar products in the tech industry. Google’s AdSense grew out of an individual project and is now a source of more than $12.5 billion in revenue annually. Give people the agency to solve problems that affect them and create a value incalculable solution before the solution’s inception. By focusing on necessary outcomes rather than methodology and providing project teams with the resources to develop new digital tools, construction management companies can enter a radical new era of competition on the cost to do business. The CMs who first begin to train young project engineers in programming or hire software engineers to focus exclusively on development for individual projects will reap enormous benefit from the solutions developed to teams' problems in the field. 


Intrapreneurship offers a third way for CMs to find tools and technology to reduce cost and improve efficiency. Intrapreneurship is the principal of groups or individuals within an existing company acting as entrepreneurs to introduce new products or services or complete specific projects. In the construction management industry, project teams know what problems they face and what sorts of solutions they need – be it a program that updates a specific spreadsheet with new takeoff information or an enormous screen to allow for easy viewing of thousands of drawings. Each project has idiosyncrasies not addressable by the corporate method of technological development – the need at first seems too small, likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized interest, or expensive to investigate corporate level. Unfortunately, new ideas about software or hardware are often lost in the winnowing path from project trailer to boardroom. They do not fit into the existing corporate technical infrastructure and don’t have an opportunity to prove their monetary worth. 
Digital management tools and the use of staff on multiple projects are industry-wide methods employed as cost-saving measures. Changes in software and hardware usage have been ‘top-down.’ through corporate lead changes or due to the specific needs of a client.
